Team Registration:

• Teams MUST register directly through the USSSA National website for $40 with direct payment on the website.

• Registration is for one season beginning August 1st through July 31st.

• Team Managers must register their teams based upon the age group - ages of players and skill level at which they are capable of playing competitively. (All teams are subject to re-classification.)

• Teams must enter team roster on the USSSA National website upon registration. This needs to be completed before participating in any USSSA sanctioned event. This must be completed by March 1st each year.

Team Insurance:

All USSSA Illinois teams MUST be insured

Group Rate:

An Affordable Team Insurance program offers a discount for 6 teams or more that purchase the insurance. Teams do not have to be in the same league, age group, etc.; only have to be purchased at the same time. www.USSSAinsurance.com. Please con tact the State Director for further information.

USSSA has always strived to create a safe and healthy environment for all participants and their families. There are certain requirements from the SafeSport Act that USSSA and all local USSSA programs must adhere to.

• Reporting of Sexual Abuse involving a minor to the proper authorities

  • All volunteers of a local league are now mandated reporters and could face criminal charges if the league chooses to ignore, or not report to the proper authorities, any witnessed act of child abuse, including sexual abuse, within 24 hours.

  • Local programs must be aware of the proper procedures to report sexual abuse in their state. Please report via USSSA.com

• Local programs must adopt a policy that prohibits retaliation on “good faith” reports of child abuse.

• Local programs are highly encouraged to complete the Abuse Awareness training once the training is established & communicated to the entire association.
